About Avias Whippets
I believe in honesty and integrity above all else. The health of the breed is of utmost importance. Temperament, good conformation and movement is paramount. You can read more about whippet health here or visit our Links section for further information. As part of our dedication to the breed, Avias whippets has begun regular, voluntary Australian Canine Eye Scheme exams on breeding stock and litters to screen for a range of eye diseases.
I am a financial member of Dogs Victoria, and have served on the committees of the Hound Club of Victoria and the Whippet Association of Victoria. My life is dedicated to my whippets and, as a result, I work in the veterinary industry as a registered veterinary nurse. I have volunteered many hours at the RSPCA as well as fostered dogs for rescue groups such as GAP (Greyhound Adoption Program) and MAR (Melbourne Animal Rescue). Thanks to Peter and Griff of Byerley whippets for entrusting Kew (Byerley Cue ET) to me. They are very particular about where their whippets are homed and I am proud to be part of the Byerley family. Kew is my first show whippet and will always have a special place in my heart. Kew and I have been friends for almost 9 years now, we are quite a team. Special thanks to Krystal Lewis of Nabihah kennels for believing in me and entrusting me with her whippets. She is not only my mentor but a trusted friend. Krystal is also the talented lady who designed and created my kennel logo. |
